About Prickly Lantern Co.

My husband, Cody is my absolute best friend. When he asked me to go hunting with him, I didn't hesitate to say yes, because I wanted to see this thing that he was so passionate about. As quickly as I fell in love with him, I fell in love with cold mornings in the blind, hours and days scouting, and everything that encompassed being a hunter and conservationist.

My dilemma came when I couldn't find cute tees to go with this newfound hobby. Nothing was quite my style, and if it wasn't my style then I knew there would be other women in the same boat. I figured, why not just do it myself?

Soon, Prickly Lantern Co. was born. Prickly comes from the prickly pear cactus that surrounds my home and the lands we hunt on in west Texas. In the outdoors you have to be as resilient as a prickly pear plant to keep coming back. Lantern has a double meaning, one is the fact that old kerosene lanterns remind me of weekends at a lease, photos of my grandpa and his hunting dogs, and the cozy feeling that comes when I sleep in a tent. The second aspect is probably my favorite - Matthew 5:16, "In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give flory to your Father in heaven". This verse is how I want to live my life, and how I want my business to come across.
